1. Information We Collect

To provide the Vestia AI fashion stylist service, we collect:

  • Account information: email address and password (via Supabase Auth)
  • Photos: clothing items you photograph for your wardrobe, and selfies used for virtual try-on
  • Style preferences: answers from the style quiz and outfit history
  • Usage data: app opens, features used, try-on count, wardrobe item count
  • Device information: device type, iOS version, app version
  • Purchase history: managed via Apple's App Store and RevenueCat

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to power the Vestia experience:

  • Generating virtual try-on results using the Fashn.ai API
  • Providing personalized outfit suggestions and AI stylist recommendations
  • Storing and organizing your digital wardrobe
  • Improving the accuracy of our AI fashion recommendations

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Photo Processing

Your photos are handled with the utmost care:

  • Wardrobe photos are uploaded to secure cloud storage (Supabase) and are associated only with your account
  • Selfies used for virtual try-on are sent to our AI processing service (Fashn.ai) and are not stored permanently after processing
  • Background removal is performed on-device using Apple's Vision framework — your photos never leave your device for this step
  • Photos are never shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to deliver the virtual try-on result

4. Virtual Try-On Processing

When you use the virtual try-on feature:

  • Your selfie and the garment image are sent securely to our AI processing service
  • The generated result is returned directly to your device
  • Source photos used for try-on are not retained on our servers after the result is delivered
  • Try-on results you choose to save are stored in your account's secure cloud storage

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Vestia offers free and premium subscription plans: All payments are processed by Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card information. Subscription management is handled through RevenueCat. Free trial periods are subject to Apple's standard subscription terms.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

  • All data transmissions are encrypted in transit (TLS)
  • Your wardrobe data is stored in isolated, access-controlled cloud storage
  • Database access is protected by row-level security policies — your data is never accessible to other users
  • AI feature access requires authentication — anonymous usage is not permitted

7. Third-Party Services

Vestia uses the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
  • Fashn.ai — AI virtual try-on processing
  • RevenueCat — subscription management
  • OpenAI — AI style chat and outfit suggestions
  • Apple Vision Framework — on-device background removal (no data leaves your device)

Each service operates under its own privacy policy.

8. Data Retention

  • Wardrobe photos and account data are retained until you delete your account
  • Virtual try-on source photos are not retained after processing
  • Usage analytics are retained for up to 24 months
  • You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time

10. Children's Privacy

Vestia is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of Vestia after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
