This Privacy Policy explains how UNIQXEL (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects data when you use PlantMate: AI Plant Identifier (“PlantMate” or “the App”).

By using PlantMate, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

UNIQXEL is the data controller for data processed through PlantMate and related websites.

2. What We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide and improve the App.

2.1. Data You Provide

• Plant Photos: Images you upload or capture in the App for identification and health analysis.

• Account Information (if account system exists): Name, email address, password (hashed), profile details.

• Support Requests: Email contents and any screenshots/logs you voluntarily share.

2.2. Automatically Collected Data

When you use PlantMate, we may collect:

• Device information (device model, OS version, language, country/region)

• App version and usage data (features used, screens viewed, session duration)

• IP address (for security, fraud prevention, and approximate location)

• Crash logs and performance data (via analytics or error tracking tools)

2.3. Purchase & Subscription Data

For in-app purchases and subscriptions (including extra scan packages):

• We receive non-sensitive purchase metadata from the App Store / Google Play (e.g. product ID, purchase time, status) to enable your premium features.

• We do not store your full payment card details. Payments are processed by the relevant store (Apple, Google) or authorized payment providers.

3. Plant Photos & AI Processing

• Your plant photos are used to:

   

  • Identify plant species

  • Provide an estimated health assessment

  • Generate care suggestions

   

• Photos may be processed by our own or trusted third-party AI models/service providers.

• We aim to:

   

  • Store images only as long as necessary for processing and improving the service, or as described in the App.

  • Remove or anonymize images where possible for analytics/training.

   

If you do not want your images to be used to improve our models, you may contact us at support@uniqxel.com (we may provide an opt-out if applicable in your region).

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide core features (plant identification, health insights, care tips)

• Operate and secure the App and our infrastructure

• Provide customer support and respond to your requests

• Manage free scans, in-app purchases, and subscriptions

• Improve accuracy, usability, and performance of PlantMate

• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data.

11. Account & Data Deletion

If you want to delete your PlantMate data:

• Use the in-app Delete Account option (if available), or

• Email support@uniqxel.com with subject: “Delete My PlantMate Account” and include your account email.

We will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

We will update the “Last updated” date and, where required, notify you via the App or website.
